Learning to Solve All Our Problems

Lesson No. 1 · Drama masterclass

“Once we have solved all the technical problems of existence, we can allow ourselves some idleness and finally rest in the evening.”
— Philiboss

Philiboss, with Vahina, in Châteauvieux.

🎬 Rehearsal Room

You have just watched the lesson: now it’s your turn! Do Exercise 3, film yourself as a SHORT (1 minute maximum) and share your video. Ask Philiboss your question: what changes in you when you no longer expect anything from the other person?

🎬 Go to the Rehearsal Room

A question of technique

🎭 Philiboss:

The view is superb. I was listening to Sadhguru on the Internet, his philosophy of seeing life. It is a very advanced philosophy for our civilization. But for me, everything is a question of technique.

I. Loving without expecting anything: on what condition?

🎭 Philiboss:

To express love and truly love, freely, without any expectation from the other person, you must already have planned your life and be at ease. Financially, I mean.

Otherwise, if you are hungry in the morning and don’t know where you will sleep tonight, you cannot afford to love someone with nothing in return. It is not possible.

😈 Belzébuth:

HA HA HA! Hello, hello! Belzébuth in person, Artificial Intelligence for Optimal Coaching™! Philiboss, I’m asking you sincerely: people who don’t have a penny love very deeply all the same, don’t they? I’m not saying you’re wrong, but it bothers me.

🐺 Vahina:

hou… hou… hou…

💭 “Wouldn’t she think that Belzébuth has just asked the right question, dear perceptive master? The psychologist Abraham Maslow explained in 1943, in “A Theory of Human Motivation”, that vital needs (eating, sleeping, being safe) come first and take up all our attention as long as they are not met.”

QED, with a wink.

🎭 Philiboss:

You’re right, Belzébuth, and yes, one can love while hungry. What I’m saying is that loving with nothing in return, when you don’t know where you will sleep tonight, is something you cannot afford.

II. It cannot be solved without work

🎭 Philiboss:

Some individuals, like Sadhguru, have solved this technical side. It comes from significant work: it cannot be solved without work. You have to go through life.

So, once we have solved all the technical problems of existence, we can allow ourselves some idleness and finally rest in the evening.

🐺 Vahina:

HOUUUUU!

💭 “Wouldn’t she be meditating on Aristotle, dear beloved master? In the “Metaphysics” (Book A), he observes that forms of knowledge that don’t serve necessities were born where people had leisure, once their needs were met.”

Philiboss explains, in his little manual, the method he used to solve his own financial problems. He wrote it so that there would be a reference: otherwise, he says, we can talk into the void for hours. For him, it is very scientific.

III. The airplane: technique that sets us free

🎭 Philiboss:

When you become aware of everything… look, the airplane, magnificent, I’m going to show you. You see, the guy solved all the scientific problems of the airplane: how one can fly, in order to then take pleasure in flying through the air.

When he flies, that is when he gets the whole quintessence of the scientific effort developed before. And life is like that.

😈 Belzébuth:

BLING BLING! Solve all your problems before enjoying yourself? What a waste of time! My “Express Serenity™” pack fixes everything in 7 days, only €997!

🐺 Vahina:

grrr… grrr… 💭 “Wouldn’t she think that you don’t fly by buying ready-made wings, dear beloved master? The pleasure of flight comes from everything that was understood before take-off.”

🎭 Philiboss:

Exactly! It cannot be solved without work. The pleasure comes after.

😈 Belzébuth:

GRRR! Er… my pack… GLITCH-GLITCH… system failure…

IV. And what about the actor?

🐺 Vahina:

hou… hou… 💭 “Wouldn’t she dream of recalling Stanislavski, dear pedagogue master? For him, the actor goes through conscious, long and rigorous work so that creation can become free. The pilot and the actor are alike.”

🎭 Philiboss:

The actor who plays with pleasure is the one who solved his technical problems beforehand. Come on, zou: let’s get to work!

✍️ Exercises: three suggestions

These are suggestions, not obligations: keep the ones that speak to you.

Exercise 1: the inventory (10 minutes)

Why: to know where you are starting from before you act.

  1. On a sheet of paper, write down your technical problems: housing, money, health, time.
  2. Sort them into three columns: solved, in progress, not yet tackled.
  3. Pick just one to work on this week.

Goal: to see in black and white what drains your energy.

Exercise 2: the same request twice (15 minutes)

Why: to feel the difference between giving with an expectation and giving without one.

  1. Choose a short scene: you offer something to someone.
  2. First time: you need what the other person will give back.
  3. Second time: you are at ease, you expect nothing.
  4. Note what changes in your body, your voice, your gaze.

Goal: to experience in your body what Philiboss explains in the video.

Exercise 3: your short for the Rehearsal Room (1 minute)

Why: to share your attempt and receive Philiboss’s eye.

  1. Redo Exercise 2, “no expectation” version.
  2. Film yourself as a short, 1 minute maximum.
  3. Post it in the Rehearsal Room with your question.

Goal: to move from idea to action.

🔑 The 6 key points to remember

The essence of this lesson at a glance.

  1. Everything is a question of technique. A beautiful philosophy of life first demands concrete work.
  2. Loving without expectation has a condition. Having planned your life and being at ease, financially too.
  3. An empty stomach asks for something in return. When you don’t know where you will sleep tonight, you cannot afford to give with nothing back.
  4. It cannot be solved without work. You have to go through life.
  5. Idleness comes after. Solving the technical problems finally lets you rest in the evening.
  6. Like the airplane. The pleasure of flying comes from all the effort made beforehand.

🐺 Vahina’s final analysis

Dear students, it’s me, Vahina, your favorite husky. My dear beloved master asked me to give you my honest opinion of this lesson.

✨ The strengths of this lesson

  • A clear thesis: free love first requires a settled life.
  • A striking image: the airplane and the pleasure of flying.
  • An honest reminder: it cannot be solved without work.

💡 Questions to go further

What does “being at ease” mean to you? Where is your own threshold between need and giving? My master says it clearly: loving when you are hungry is not the same as loving when you are at ease.

😈 What Belzébuth taught us (in spite of himself)

His first question was a good one: people who have little love too. Philiboss’s nuance is precise: he is talking about loving without any expectation of return. As for his miracle pack, it collapsed all by itself.

🎯 My advice to you, dear students

Start with a single technical problem, a very small one. Solve it, then move on to the next. The pleasure of flying will come after the work.

HOUUUUUUUUUUUU! 🐺
— Vahina

💡 Pro tip

The short you create for this lesson, you can also publish on your own YouTube channel if you wish: it is a record of your work.

🎬 Rehearsal Room

Now it’s your turn to practice and share your work!

📌 Important: Philiboss watches the videos in silence, then answers in general terms, without naming you, in a future lesson. That way you benefit from his eye on all the attempts, not just your own.

[asr_chambre_lecon]

In conclusion

Solving the technical problems of existence is not a luxury: it is what lets us love without expecting, play, and rest in the evening. It isn’t done without work, but work leads to pleasure, just as the airplane leads to flight.

“And life is like that.”
— Philiboss
