A Crazy Idea
Being real in front of the camera: an improvised scene, with no prepared text. Click the photo to play the video.
I walk the trails of Châteauvieux with Vahina, whom I call Lulu. She wanders off, I look for her, I call her. The camera is rolling. This scene takes place during a dog photo safari at Vahina-Paradis B&B, in Châteauvieux. There is no prepared text: just a moment of truth in which the actor shares his state of mind.
Being real in front of the camera
In this scene, everything happens in the moment: the walk, the calls to Lulu, and whatever the actor lets out when nobody has prompted him. It is a demonstration of Acteur.Studio: a sample of my work as an actor in the art of improvisation. Being real in front of the camera is the whole point here.
I will not tell you what I confide in it. Watch the scene to the end.
- What is this man really looking for, as he calls his dog?
- What does he say out loud, when he thinks only the camera can hear him?
- Where does the walk end, and where does the scene begin?
