A moment of serenity

A mountain holiday with a dog can come down to one walk and a few minutes of stillness. In this video I say very little: I look, and I let you look along with me.

You see me in profile, motionless, facing the landscape. I took my dog Vahina, whom I call Loulou, for a walk, and I stopped. In front of me, a mountain. In the distance, a light aircraft flies in low to land. I watch it without moving.

First, I simply spoke of calm after the storm. Then I let you admire the tranquillity, although, really, it is mostly me who was admiring it. In the end, I decided to share what I felt: a deep relief, a release, a rest.

Far off, through the forest, I noticed a few people. That is all. No event, no big speech: the landscape, the silence and, finally, Loulou circling around me.

That is the state I wish you at Vahina-Paradis B&B in Châteauvieux, in the Hautes-Alpes: a stay where you walk with your dog, where you stop and where you look.

Your host, the photographer

My photos are photographic improvisation, just like theatrical improvisation. They illustrate my happiness in the present moment. Jean-Philippe Tchifteyan, drama teacher, welcomes you to Vahina-Paradis B&B in Châteauvieux, together with Vahina, his husky.
