Vahina’s Adventures in the Riou Canyon

Here, it feels like the Wild West. We are at the bottom of the Riou Canyon, in Châteauvieux, right in the riverbed. Vahina, whom I call Loulou, has settled at the water’s edge to rest.
She doesn’t have a care in the world. Calm on the bank, she would happily stay until evening. Meanwhile, I take a slow look around to show you where we are: the river flowing down, then, opposite us, the canyon walls rising like an amphitheatre. It is dizzying. In the video, photos of these walls scroll by, seen from below, from the canyon floor.
Hiking with dog at the bottom of the canyon
That is the idea behind Vahina-Paradis B&B: to take you out, with your dog, on trails like this one. This way, all the dogs go together, with their dads and moms. The walk lasts three or four hours, or the whole day, as you wish, and everyone is free to join or not. Afterwards, we head home once everyone is nicely tired.
You have to be there to feel this place: the climate, the light, the views opening up in every direction. Moreover, these are spots you rarely get to see. It is beautiful, and it is unusual.
