My name is Philiboss. I chose Châteauvieux as my permanent base — not by chance, but because this place shaped me. I grew up here. I know every trail, every light, every season.
My role here is not to serve you. It’s to be your co-pilot — the one who knows the map, the winds, the right headings — so that your stay in the Alps becomes an experience you’ll remember for a long time.

The garden of Les Terrasses de l’Aviateur is not a landscaped park. These are nearly century-old trees, a walking path that circles the entire estate, and terraces open to the Alps. A rare space, in a rare village.
In the morning, Vahina welcomes you there at dawn. It’s the best wake-up call you’ll ever have.

Les Terrasses de l’Aviateur are just minutes from Gap-Tallard airfield — a must-visit destination for pilots, skydivers and free-flight enthusiasts from around the world. From the terraces, the flights overhead are visible with the naked eye.
Your co-pilot Philiboss is himself training as a glider pilot at Tallard. He knows the people, the schedules, the insider tips.

I live on the ground floor. The first floor is yours — your territory. The lounge and kitchen are shared in the morning, in the spirit of a true guest house. In the evening, everyone returns to their own quarters. No rigid rules — just mutual respect and good humour.

Vahina is a Siberian Husky. She has lived at Châteauvieux from day one. She knows every corner of the estate, every trail around the village, every hour when the Alpine light is at its finest.
In the morning, she’s the one who gives the signal to set off. She doesn’t know schedules — only the call of the open air. And she is rarely wrong.
