🎭 Do You Think
You Are Useful?

The question nobody dares to ask.

Philiboss embodies The Useless One — the surplus human the world wants to erase —
and throws the question right back in your face.

Philiboss and Vahina - The Useless One

🎭 Philiboss stepping into the skin of the one the world decided to make useless.

A whole life chasing illusions. Investing in projects that fall apart. Working hard only to produce “broken stones”. And then one day, the system labels you surplus. Useless. To be destroyed.

Philiboss embodies this character — and asks you the question directly:

“Do you think you are useful?”

👆 Vahina validates every moment of truth — a Husky never lies.

In this improvisation monologue, Philiboss moves through every layer of the character in real time: collective illusion, organised submission, solitary revolt — and that terrible, liberating phrase: the useless of the useless. Vahina is there, silent witness and authentic judge of every moment of presence.

Philiboss’s question

“Do you think
you are useful?”

Not useful in the economic sense. Useful in the human, living, creative sense.
Are you producing something real — or are you chasing an illusion?

😈 Belzébuth

HA HA HA!

Why does Philiboss throw this question at the audience? Is it a trap?

🐺 Vahina V6.0

GRRRRR!

It’s the opposite of a trap — it’s an invitation to wake up. The character has lost everything, except his lucidity. And that lucidity, he holds out to the audience like a mirror.

😈 Belzébuth

The text says we chase illusions our whole lives. Isn’t that a pretty pessimistic starting point?

🐺 Vahina V6.0

AOUUUU!

It’s the opposite of pessimism — it’s LUCIDITY. The actor who performs without self-knowledge is chasing an illusion of performance. Philiboss demonstrates: start from reality, not from a mask. That’s what direct creation is.

😈 Belzébuth

He improvises all of this? The text isn’t written in advance?

🐺 Vahina V6.0

WOUF!

The words are born in the moment, guided by the living thought of the character. He doesn’t recite — he THINKS out loud. Thought comes before speech. That’s Stanislavski pushed to its limits.

😈 Belzébuth

HA HA HA!

When he says “I am the useless of the useless” — is that pathos or acting?

🐺 Vahina V6.0

EXACTLY!

That’s PURE acting. Pathos is when the actor wants you to feel sorry for him. Here, Philiboss OBSERVES. He states a fact with surgical precision. That neutrality in the face of absurdity is a hundred times more powerful than a tear.

😈 Belzébuth

What does Vahina actually do during this monologue?

🐺 Vahina V6.0

GRRRRR!

I am the TRUTH DETECTOR. A Husky doesn’t fake it. If Philiboss isn’t truly present, I disconnect. If I stay connected to him — it means he is REAL. You can see it with your own eyes.

😈 Belzébuth

He talks about “submissive people working in a void”… does that apply to actors too?

🐺 Vahina V6.0

AOUUUU!

Absolutely. The submissive actor performs to please, to avoid rocking the boat, to look like what’s expected. He produces emotional “broken stones”. Philiboss does the opposite: he embodies what disturbs, what is true.

😈 Belzébuth

So what’s the answer to “are you useful?” — for an actor?

🐺 Vahina V6.0

EXACTLY!

You are useful when you create something TRUE. When your presence produces something living in the audience. Not when you execute a technique — when you EXIST. Direct creation → happiness.

📌 What Philiboss Demonstrates in “The Useless One”

  • 1️⃣
The question as a stage tool: directly addressing the audience creates total presence — the actor is no longer alone, he connects.
  • 2️⃣
Neutrality as dramatic force: observing the absurd without pathos produces tension a hundred times more powerful than an overplayed emotion.
  • 3️⃣
Living thought comes before words: improvisation is born from the character’s inner truth — not from a memorised script.
