🐺 Vahina : The Lesson of Freedom
This morning, Vahina gave me a lesson in communication.
She said nothing. As usual.
She walks alone through the Provençal woods. Nobody taught her to be free. And yet, everyone watches her. Everyone follows her.
Who took that freedom from you?
A walk with a dog… that’s the big lesson of the day? Can’t you be more serious?
Watch. I don’t try to convince anyone. I don’t wait for approval. I move forward — and others follow. This is exactly what Philiboss has been teaching for 35 years: authentic presence is not built, it is liberated.
In that photo she’s tiny. Lost in the landscape. What does that prove exactly?
The smaller she is in the frame, the greater her presence. A manager walking into a room doesn’t need to shout. An actor walking onto a stage doesn’t need to force anything. True presence fills the space effortlessly.
Alright, but a horse galloping — now that’s impressive. What is Vahina even doing next to it?
She doesn’t run after others. Others run with her. Those who chase others eventually lose them. Those who move in their own direction become a magnet. This is the principle of the actor who doesn’t play to please — they play to be true.
And the abandoned bike while she just stands there… is that a metaphor?
Knowing when to stop is already leadership. The bike is a tool. Vahina watches the horizon. In a meeting, the person who knows how to pause is the one everyone listens to. On stage, the actor who knows how to do nothing is the one who captivates.
All of this is for actors. What does it change for someone in business?
Vahina doesn’t do theatre. And yet every person who crosses her path stops, smiles, wants to reach out. She doesn’t pose. She simply exists. What Philiboss teaches is not reserved for actors. It is the science of authentic human presence. Applicable everywhere.
So the question “who took that freedom from you?”… what’s the answer?
